On the occasion of the international meeting in Tashkent (UZB), the United World Wrestling has designed Paris as the host city of the 2017’s world championships. This event will be an exciting and huge challenge for the French organizations.

This world wild event is built on three issues :

1. The French wrestling federation will offer all the athletes the best conditions during the competition week... Receptions and organizations conditions have to be wonderful. This is one of our biggest preoccupations.
2. Paris’s the most visited city in the world. Thanks to that we want to showcase and promote wrestling. We also would like to offer our international federation (UWW) an occasion to develop and promote this sport to: The Olympic Movement, the Medias, business partners...
3. Finally, these championships must be used as an example for next world championships. Wrestling promotion is the main goal we all fight for.

An organization committee (association) has been created. They are associated to institutional partners (government, city council…) so that discussions and debates will be easier. “Credit Mutuel” has just become the first private partner of “Paris 2017”. We hope that it’s the first of a very long list! The official logo will be presented in a few days. All visuals production could then be launch.

Las Vegas 2015 championships (from September 9th to September 12th) will be the first promotion event for the Paris 2017 championships. Thanks for all our partners, for their support and their trust.
